Making The Last Broadcast was written during and after the historic theatrical release of The Last Broadcast, in October 1998. For a long time, people kept asking when the book would become available. The delays caused by the difficulties of publishing kept it unfinished for a long time.
In August of 1999, The Blair Witch became a sensation which ironically shed a lot of light on The Last Broadcast. The demand for the book was now greater than ever before, except that people now wanted to read about the "truth", or "the dirt" about Blair Witch versus us, or whatever. Because the book had never been intended for that purpose, but rather to be a "how to" type guide, a trials and tribulations of being a filmmaker thing, I really stopped working on it.
Time has moved on, and unless it makes it into my memoirs when I'm an old man, the present version of this "book" is about the best you can hope for...
Enjoy it for what it is - a time capsule of a decisive part of my life.
This site's search engine will also aid in finding things within the book.
Finally, please send me email if you start reading the book. It'd be nice to know that people were reading it after the work it took to put it together.
